Warwick International Manufacturing Centre, UK
With a budget of over €50Bn and duration of 7 years, Framework 7 is the largest and potentially most significant research programme ever undertaken by the European Union. Robotics is a major technology area within this programme, both as an integrating platform for "Technology Pillars" such as photonics, ubiquitous networks and embedded computing, but also as a key capability for meeting many of the Lisbon agenda objectives. This workshop provides a structured introduction to Framework 7 and specifically deals with proposals for the first IST Call Work Programme Challenge 2 "Cognitive Systems, Interaction, Robotics". It is specifically designed for those wishing to propose projects in this call and will cover key elements of the general requirements and procedures to develop and submit a proposal, and cover in more detail what might be considered a winning proposal for this part of the Call.
This workshop is led by two people with extensive track records in both advanced robotics developments and long established experience of both the European Commission and practical experience of EU RTD programmes.
Further details of this workshop and the registration form can be found here.
